Dress Code

Hale students adhere to a Uniform Dress Code that includes:

1.  Plain navy blue uniform pants for boys and girls in grades K-8.  (No Stripes. No logos).  Skirts and shorts must be knee length.  Shorts and capris will be allowed from May 1st to October 1st. 

2.  White polo/dress shirt with collar. Shirts must be tucked in.  Belts must be worn if pants do not remain at the waist.  No colored t-shirts may be worn under uniform shirts.

3,  Hale Navy or plain navy blue sweaters and sweatshirts.  No logos, designs, or hoods on sweatshirts.

4.  Coats and/or jackets are not be worn in the classroom.  Students should wear navy blue sweaters if they are cold.

5.  Closed-toe shoes with backs.  Gym shoes are acceptable.   Shoes, socks and laces should be matching pairs.  No mixing of lace colors.

6.  No earrings for boys.  One earring in each ear for girls.  Threads or sticks in newly pierced ears are not acceptable.  No other body piercing is allowed.  No excessive jewelry.  One bracelet, wristwatch, ring and necklace allowed.

7.  No outlandish/distracting hair styles or colors.  (For example, Mohawks, purple. green, pink hair, etc.)

Failure to adhere to Dress Code rules is a violation of the CPS Uniform Discipline Code, Act of Misconduct, Group

1-3.  Students will be subjected to Disciplinary Action.

 

Gym Dress Code

Grades K-3 may wear regular school clotes and gym shoess.

Grades 4-8 must wear plain blue or Hale shorts.  Students may wear navy blue sweat pants over their shorts for the rest of the day, but they must have shorts on.  They should also wear a white Hale t-shirt.  They should wear gym shoes with socks. 

5 minutes before and after gym, students will be allowed to change in the gym area.
